Architecture policy in Turkey – Architectuur Lokaal

nieuwsbericht | mei 28, 2019

The chamber of architects of Turkey (CAT) is trying to establish an architectural policy for Turkey, in order to achieve a level of quality both in architecture and urban environments. After an intensive study and research for two years, an architectural policy text was prepared and presented to public opinion on February 27th, 2007. The text, which is prepared in the light of local conditions, propositions and foreign experiences, stresses the need for focusing on lasting and contemporary environments with an identity as an urban planning principle. It is also regarded as an initial step which is believed to be developed and improved by public support, proposals and opinions.
